Metroids

Metroids are weird little creatures.

They have a jellyfish-like membrane, several internal nuclei, and 4 large mandibles. It is through these mandibles that a metroid clamps onto it's victim and feeds on it's life energy, usually killing the creature in the process. They can also perform this procedure in reverse, restoring lost life energy in it's target.

Metroids apparently end up becoming extinct because Samus blasts them all to kingdom com, what a sad ending for such wonderful creatures.
